Though most of the boats I sell are in the water I got the great idea of trying to sell smaller boats on trailers out of my driveway. I flipped one 16' Tahiti speedboat out of my driveway and one of my neighbors called the zoning commission on me. The zoning commissioner came by and pretty much shut me down, but set me up with a 3000 square foot shop across the street from the ocean only a few hundred yards from my house and the harbor. I worked out a deal with $100 down and was able to get the rest of August's rent for free. By September 1st the shop was full of boats that were either paying rent or being repaired. Having so many people around got on the landlord's nerves so I had to downsize the operation to boats that I am trying to sell. So far I have been able to sell a few boats out of the shop, but the rent is hard to pay and it is difficult waiting out the down cycle. Hope somebody buys a boat soon
